Driftwood Clock - brass hands, found items

Raku fired ceramics add colour and spontaneity to an eclectic range of wooden clocks and mirrors – from polished austerity in native hardwoods to assemblages of driftwood and other found items collected from local and distant beaches.  Ceramic work sketches landscapes on stoneware and porcelain clocks and boxes – the raku glaze “palette” lending itself to the blues, greens and whites of Dorset seascapes.

Most recent work is pure assemblage, clock forms a jigsaw of driftwood, rubber and metal, the clock hands made from old sardine tins…

You can usually find work at the Boilerhouse Gallery in Corfe Castle in Dorset – a small co-operative run gallery in the heart of Purbeck.
